When it comes to Audi exclusive, things are custom ordered and cost quite a bit extra. Think of it as a tailor made Audi just for the customer. Well with the S3, Audi of America stepped it up a bit. They came out with 25 Audi exclusive S3s.
But what made them so, exclusive? Well, There’s five different colors, Vegas Yellow, Viper Green, Glut Orange, Sepang Blue and Misano Red. Five of each color to be exact. So they’re offering the Skittles starter pack, but what else do you get? Luckily our friends over at Fourtitude have the answer. And I quote “The tailoring however does not end with just paint. Each car gets an interior with Fine Nappa Leather Package upgrade, including contrast stitching, Audi exclusive inlays in body color, Audi exclusive extended leather package with contrast stitching including covered door armrests and knee pads, Audi exclusive leather controls with contrast stitching including steering wheel and gear shift. Each will be built to Prestige Package equipment levels, and included S Sport seats and 19-inch Performance Package.”
So when our friend Will over at Fourtitude texted us and said he got a Viper Green S3 for a couple of days, we all jump with joy and excitement, well mostly Denis, but we won’t get into that. We cleared our schedule and made room for a wash and Ceramic Pro Sport.
The day was quite gloomy, it was a few days before we got those 30 inches of snow, you can imagine how the S3 brightened up our parking lot.
One thing that caught our eye was the carbon fiber lip spoiler and how good the car sounded for an OEM exhaust. Has a good rumble at low RPMs and opened up when you got past 3k RPMs. Will informed us that all of that is part of Audi Accessories, even the center resonator delete. That’s right, a modified exhaust from the factory and still under warranty. But wait, there’s more! Also included are the carbon fiber mirror caps, Audi Beam puddle lights with quattro script, custom powder-coated wheels, and a full Black-Optic conversion. You might have noticed it sits a bit lower than most OEM spec S3s, that’s because this one was fitted with H&R springs.
We got to washing using Chemical Guys Maxi-Suds II Super Suds Car Wash Shampoo and got to business. Up next we applied Ceramic Pro Sport. It’s the lowest tier option that will last up to a year and provide a hydrophobic effect that will help keep the car clean and make it easier to clean. Think of it as a wax that doesn’t attract dirt and keeps itself clean.
We are very thankful for friends like Will who stop by our shop and brings us really cool cars to wash. Fourtitude is always welcomed at Urban Werks and we look forward to washing the next Fourtitude project.
